England without two key stars ahead of Six Nations
SQUAD UPDATE: England coach Steve Borthwick has been forced to make some tweaks to his training squad ahead of the Six Nations.
Ben Curry and Fin Baxter will not travel to Girona.
The loose forward Curry will continue his rehabilitation with Sale Sharks, while the Harlequins back Baxter is set to undergo foot surgery this week.
Jack Kenningham has been called into the England training squad ahead of the 2026 campaign.
The 26-year-old loose forward is now one of four uncapped players in the Six Nations squad.
The other three new faces are Greg Fisilau, Billy Sela and Emmanuel Iyogun.
Meanwhile, Owen Farrell has been omitted from the squad.
Farrell has not played for England since the 2023 World Cup but is yet to close the door on a return to international rugby and played on the British and Irish Lions tour to Australia last year.
The 34-year-old had been ruled out of contention by a move to Racing 92 in France, but has since returned to Saracens, making him potentially available for selection once more.
England begin their Six Nations campaign at home to Wales on February 7 before a trip to Scotland a week later.
Buoyed by victories over New Zealand, Australia and Argentina in November, Borthwick’s men are looking to win their first championship since 2020.
