In a non-cap international at Twickenham on Saturday, a France XV beat their English Counterparts 26-24.

Neither nation was at full strength for the non-capped clash.

England were without 13 players selected in the British and Irish Lions squad, while those involved in the Top 14 semifinals were unavailable for the visitors.

France’s tries came through Gaëtan Barlot, Hugo Auradou, Paul Mallez and Romain Taofifenua. Nolann Le Garrec and Antoine Hastoy (two) added conversions..

For England, there were tries from Tom Willis, Alex Coles, Joe Carpenter and Alex Dombrandt, with four points from George Ford’s boot.

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso’s hopes of a late British and Irish Lions call-up have suffered a major setback after he was red-carded in the match.

The Exeter Chiefs wing, who has been hotly tipped as a potential call-up for Andy Farrell’s Lions squad, was sent off in the 33rd minute for a high tackle on French flyhalf Antoine Hastoy.

The incident was initially reviewed by referee Holly Davidson before being upgraded to a 20-minute red card following further TMO assessment.

The dismissal now leaves Feyi-Waboso facing a likely suspension of at least three matches, placing any immediate involvement with the B&I Lions in serious doubt.

He could now also miss some of England’s tour of Argentina and the United States next month should he be banned.

England still looked set for victory as they led 24-12 heading into the final 10 minutes thanks to tries from Tom Willis, Alex Coles, Joe Carpenter and Alex Dombrandt.

However, France rallied to win the game with the final kick of the match.

Paul Mallez cut the deficit before Romain Taofifenua bulldozed over to tie the scores with the clock in the red.

Hastoy kicked the conversion to secure victory in front of a crowd of just over 34,000.

England will face Argentina, who beat the Lions 28-24 in Dublin on Friday, in a two-Test series in July before facing the United States in Washington.

France travels to New Zealand for a three-Test series against the All Blacks.
