Robinson banned for doping

Rotherham Titans player William Robinson has been suspended for two years by the Rugby Football Union for an anti-doping violation.

The player tested positive for Clomiphene, a hormone and metabolic modulator and a prohibited substance, at an out of competition test on July 16, 2013.

A disciplinary panel of Daniel White, Peter Fraser QC and Dr Julian Morris suspended him from August 13, 2013 (the date of the original temporary suspension) until August 13, 2015. He is free to play again the following day.

The player admitted to the offence and agreed to the case being heard on papers without attending in person.
