Young reveals Launchbury concerns

Launchbury took two knocks to the head during the game, which will not have escaped the attention of Eddie Jones as he prepares on Wednesday to unveil his first squad since his appointment as England head coach.

"He's taken a nasty head knock, but he's up and about," Young said.

"He's talking and appears to be fine, but will have to go through the relevant protocols. It could take one or six weeks. It's impossible to tell at this stage.

"I still expect to see Launchbury, Elliot Daly, Joe Simpson, Matt Mullan and James Haskell selected in the England squad."

Wasps trailed 13-22 with 12 minutes to play after Andy Symonds kicked five penalties for visitors Worcester and successfully converted an interception try by Cooper Vuna.

But tries from replacement Guy Thompson, Frank Halai and Sailosi Tagicakibau saw Wasps prevail.

Kearnan Myall scored Wasps' first try, with Jimmy Gopperth converting three of the tries and adding two penalties.

"We got out of jail as with eight minutes to go, a betting man would have clearly put money on them," said Young.

"I'm frustrated with our lack of accuracy as we had lots of possession, but we didn't create enough and I'm pleased we didn't give up."

The England pair of Jack Nowell and George Kruis were also injured in this weekend's action.

Exeter wing Nowell twisted his knee against Gloucester, while Saracens lock Kruis was concussed against Harlequins and taken off on a stretcher.
