Scotland dominate Fiji in WXV 2 warm-up
MATCH REPORT: Scotland claimed a dominant 59-15 result against Fiji at Edinburgh Stadium.
The match marked the first women’s international between the two countries.
Scotland crossed the whitewash on nine occasions in Edinburgh as they warm-up for their WXV 2 title defence.
A penalty-try opened the scoring for the hosts before tries scored by Lisa Thomson, Chloe Rollie and Lana Skeldon, with Meryl Smith adding three conversions to give Scotland a 28-10 lead heading into the break.
Scotland picked up where they left off in the second-half – with captain Rachel Malcom, Francesca McGhie, Lucia Scott, Rhona Lloyd and Thompson scored again.
Smith slotted three more conversions attempts to score 12 personal points on the day as Adita Milinia, Sulita Waisega and Vika Matarugu crossed the line for Fiji.
