Cudmore fined for controversial tweet

The second row forward lashed out at the Top 14 side's management following their European Cup defeat to Bordeaux-Begles last week, which left last year's runners-up exiting the tournament at the pool stage.

"Clean out The front office and #bringbackvern", Cudmore tweeted, calling for the return of former coach Vern Cotter – who left for the Scotland job after eight seasons with Clermont, including the club's maiden French title-winning campaign in 2010.

The amount of the fine wasn't revealed by Clermont.

Cudmore missed last week's game as well as Saturday's loss to Montpellier through injury and will join up with the Canada squad this week for the Americas Championship which starts on February 6.
