France would 'trump Springboks with ease'

SPOTLIGHT: Leinster legend Isa Nacewa in a very bold statement revealed why South Africa would be no match for the Six Nations champions France.

Following the June Intentional Test series, the Springboks found themselves third on the current World Rankings.

Ireland are on top of the rankings courtesy of their Series win over All Blacks, while France are in second.

It is certainly unfamiliar territory for the Boks and All Blacks, who use to dominate the rankings.

However, it seems the Northern Hemisphere are slowly and surely becoming a dominant force.

France, who secured the Six Nations Grand Slam this year, will face the Springboks on November 12 in Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.

And it seems like Les Bleus already heading into the encounter as favourites.

Speaking on the latest episode of Sky Sport‘s ‘The Breakdown’, Nacewa suggested that France’s pack would get the better of South Africa.

While their backline are far more superior than the Boks’.

“The French are an absolute beast,” the one-cap former Fiji international said.

“Their forward pack would, in my eyes, trump South Africa right now.

“They’ve got a physical presence and a game nouse that would trump South Africa with ease and we’ve seen what they can do.

“Their backs, they don’t need to have much structure, game-plan and flair – they’ve got a little bit and that’s enough – but that is their style.

“They know that they go to that and they do it very, very well. But they are absolute beasts at the breakdown.”
