'Happy' Habana extends Toulon stay
"I am looking forward to contributing to the success of the club," added the 32-year-old on his Twitter account.
Habana – who described himself as "happy" – joined Toulon in 2013, six years after lifting the World Cup with South Africa. In his first two seasons in France he won back-to-back European Cup titles as well as the 2014 Top 14 crown.
He previously played for the Blue Bulls, with whom he won the Super Rugby title on two occasions, before moving to the Stormers.
At the recent World Cup in England, Habana joined New Zealand great Jonah Lomu as the all-time top try-scorer in the competition with 15 scores. He joins South African-born former England prop Matt Stevens and French internationals Romain Taofifenua and Xavier Chiocci in extending their Toulon deals.
