Injury setback for Picamoles

Toulouse No.8 Louis Picamoles won't take part in France's training camp ahead of the Six Nations tournament after picking up a thigh injury.

The French federation said that Picamoles won't join his teammates at the week-long training camp to be held in southern France from January 25 to 31, but remains eligible for France's opener against Scotland on February 7 at Stade de France.

Picamoles picked up the injury with his club during a European Champions Cup game against Bath last week.

After hosting the Scots, France travel to Ireland the following week.

They then host Wales, before travelling to play Italy and finishes with a potentially title-deciding clash with England at Twickenham on March 21.

The French finished fourth last year and last in 2013.
