World Cup winning coach Jake White has formally welcomed the Du Plessis brothers, Jannie and Bismarck, to his French club Montpellier.

The Top 14 outfit on Wednesday confirmed the signing of the Du Plessis brothers, Bismarck and Jannie, from the Sharks.

The two, who won the World Cup with White as coach in 2007, will head to France after this year's edition of the World Cup – in England in September and October.

White welcomed the signing of the Springbok duo.

"They are very experienced," he said on the Montpellier website.

"It's fantastic for them to come here and share their knowledge with the players of Montpellier," White added.
