Steyn ignores speculation
Reports coming out of France suggest Morne Steyn will be released from his contract with French Top 14 club Stade Francais, however, these reports are pure speculation.
Steyn's management company, D.A. Management, have rubbished these reports and have brushed them aside as "pure speculation" and that the flyhalf is "under contract until 2016".
Since penning a three-year-deal with the club, Steyn has made just 15 appearances for the Parisian club.
In a telephonic interview from France, D.A. Management's Damien Dussault told rugby365 that he remains in the dark as to how the speculation began as they have never engaged in talks with the club, be it formal or informal, about releasing Steyn from his contract.
"I can guarantee that I have never engaged in any conversation, be it formal or informal, with Stade Francais about releasing Morne from his contract. I have no idea where these rumours started but it is 100 per cent false.
"Morne is still adapting to life in France. The first season is always the hardest for an overseas player as there are language barriers he faces as he gets used to the system of the team," he said.
Steyn is fully aware of the rumours but has chosen to ignore it as he is focussed on giving his best for the club.
Official : @mornesteyn is under contract until 2016 at @SFParisRugby and there's never been talk about any release. Pure speculation.
