The night Paris turned Green

SOCIAL SPOTLIGHT: Two years ago today, the Springboks pulled off a World Cup classic in Paris, stunning France 29-28.

Among all the unforgettable moments, one stands out: Cheslin Kolbe’s legendary conversion charge-down.

Racing off the line in the first half, Kolbe blocked Thomas Ramos’ kick, denying Les Bleus two crucial points and sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Fans and pundits debated whether Kolbe had moved too early, but World Rugby confirmed it was perfectly legal.

That victory set the stage for South Africa to lift the World Cup, triumphing over the All Blacks in a thrilling Finale.

The two sides will again go head-to-head next month in Paris.
