Toulouse end banned Bok's contract
Hooker Mahlatse Ralepelle has had his contracted ended early by Toulouse as the Springbok's doping hearing approaches in March.
Ralepelle faces a two year suspension after reportedly testing positive for a banned substance in France in June last year.
The hooker was tested out of competition, with his 'A' sample containing traces of Drostanalone, an anabolic steroid that is often used in bodybuilding.
This is also not the first time Ralepelle has been tested positive, after he and wing Bjorn Basson were found to have a banned substance – methylhexanamine – in their system when tested after South Africa’s clash with Ireland in Dublin in 2010.
Ralepelle has not played a single game for the French club because of a serious injury sustained in February last year.
It seems the contract was cut short on amicable grounds with French source Midi Olympique reporting that a financial agreement had been reached.
Additionally, Jean-Michel Rancoule, responsible for recruitment at Toulouse said: "We are splitting, still as good friends,"
