Trinh-Duc's surgery a success

France flyhalf François Trinh-Duc underwent a successful operation on his broken leg, his club Montpellier said Sunday.

The 27-year-old broke the tibia in his right leg during Saturday's 25-9 victory over Oyonnax on Saturday before going unde the knife later that evening.

He is due to spend three months on the sidelines recovering and will miss France's November tests against Fiji, Australia and Argentina.

He will also miss the first four rounds of European Champions Cup matches beginning next weekend with Montpellier's trip to Toulouse.

Trinh-Duc was omitted from the France squad for June's tour to Australia but was expected to make his return in November after he was called up to a three-day training camp last month.

Montpellier currently sit fourth in the Top 14 table.
