Ireland suffer big injury blows ahead of All Black clash
SQUAD UPDATE: Ireland head coach Andy Farrell received some bad news on the injury front ahead of his side’s clash against the All Blacks in Chicago on November 1.
Wing Mack Hansen suffered an aggravation of a foot injury in the closing stages of Connacht’s game against the Bulls and has been ruled out.
The bad news does not stop there, as Bundee Aki (hip) and Robbie Henshaw (groin) are also on the injured list. They will be assessed and will travel with the squad on Tuesday.
Munster duo Edwin Edogdo (concussion) and Brian Gleeson (elbow), who had been due to travel with the squad to Chicago, have also been ruled out.
Meanwhile, Munster’s uncapped centre Tom Farrell and Leinster’s Jimmy O’Brien have been added to the Ireland squad ahead of that match against New Zealand.
Ireland will also face Japan (November 8), Australia (November 15), and South Africa (November 22) in the end-of-year series.
