Irish flyhalf woes continue
Irish flyhalf Paddy Jackson may sit out the entire Six Nations due to injury, this comes after Johnny Sexton ruled was out from an early return for the opening round.
The Ulster flyhalf suffered a dislocated elbow in Saturday's defeat to Toulon.
Jackson was forced off in the first half as Ulster were beaten 22-60 in the European Champions Cup game in France.
Ireland start their Six Nations defence against Italy on February 7.
Ulster wing Louis Ludik broke a rib in the Pool Three clash, while Stuart Olding (elbow) and Mike Allen (leg) were also injured.
Jackson scored a try against the champions before his early departure at Stade Felix Mayol.
This news comes at a bad time for Ireland as star flyhalf Jonathan Sexton confirmed he will not be available for Ireland’s opening game of the Six Nations against Italy, earlier in the month.
The Irish flyhalf suffered a concussion when he clashed heads with team-mate Rob Kearney as they combined to tackle Adam Ashley-Cooper late in Ireland’s 26-23 win against Australia on November 22.
The concussion was Sexton’s fourth of 2014 and prompted doctors to advise him to take 12 weeks out from the game, which rules him out until the second game of Ireland's Championship defence against France on February 14.
