TRANSFER TALK: Former Springbok coach Allister Coetzee has reportedly been linked with the head coaching job at Italian club Rovigo Delta.

The Afrikaans newspaper Rapport reported that Coetzee had been offered the job to take over from Umberto Casellato, who vacated the head coaching position recently.

Coetzee, who served as Springbok coach between 2016 and 2018, parted ways with the Japanese club Canon Eagles last year.

However, since then Coetzee has not held a head coach position.

The 57-year-old previously coached the Stormers (2010-2015) and the Springboks (2016-2017).

Rovigo play in Italy’s Top12 division, and Naas Botha, Gert Smal and AJ Venter are among a number of Springboks who played for the Italians.
