All Black Evans sticking with Quins
The 35-year-old flyhalf joined the Londoners in 2008 from the Blues in his homeland and will now wear the distinctive chequered shirt at least until the end of next season.
Capped 16 times by the All Blacks, Evans is Harlequins' record points scorer and currently tops the Premiership scoring charts this season.
"Harlequins have been the biggest part of my professional career and I'm so proud to have been given the opportunity to continue at this great club," he said.
"The potential that this group of players has is incredibly exciting and I'm looking forward to being able to help us reach our domestic and European goals once again."
Evans played at the 2007 World Cup in France before joining Quins a year later, where he went on to win the Premiership title in 2012, 12 months after winning the European Challenge Cup.
"Nick is the consummate professional and his competitiveness still burns more than ever," said director of rugby Conor O'Shea.
"He's a massive influence on the group, a great role model for players both young and old and I have no doubt he will deliver for this club when it counts for a few more years yet."
