Six South Africans in Barbarian team to face Samoa

NEWS: Six South Africans have been included in the Barbarian match-23 to face Samoa in Brive on Friday.

Three Springboks who missed out on the final World Cup squad, Herschel Jantjies, Joseph Dweba and Jean-Luc du Preez, will star in this match.

The other South Africans are Stormers hooker Andre-Hugo Venter, Reniel Hugo and Dylan Richardson.

Boks Jantjies, Dweba and Du Preez are on the standby list for the World Cup in case of injuries.

This match is one of Samoa’s warm-up games in preparation for the big event in France in September.

Three time World Cup Samoan international Pat Lam, currently coach of the Bristol Bears, will be coaching the Barbarian team.
