All Blacks suffer another playmaker blow
INJURY UPDATE: The All Blacks have been dealt another injury blow to a playmaker following their 10-43 loss to South Africa in Wellington.
Rookie No.9 Noah Hotham has been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament after suffering a broken leg in Saturday’s defeat.
He was replaced by Finlay Christie merely nine minutes into the second Test against the Springboks.
According to reports, scans revealed a fractured fibula.
The news is a devastating blow to coach Scott Robertson, who is already operating without the services of Cortez Ratima and Cameron Roigard.
Crusaders No.9 Kyle Preston also had a niggle before the Eden Park Test but made his debut off the bench against the Boks. He didn’t make the cut for selection in the Wellington defeat.
Razor will be hopeful that the above-mentioned players will be fit and up for selection in two weeks when New Zealand face Australia in Bledisloe One, which doubles up as a crucial Rugby Championship title race fixture as well.
