REVEALED: Three All Blacks who won't face Boks
SPOTLIGHT: Whilst All Black head coach Scott Robertson is yet to name his team for the rematch with the Springboks, three players won’t partake in this crucial clash.
Backs Sevu Reece and Leicester Fainga’anuku have been named in their respective National Provincial Championship sides along with lock Sam Darry, ruling them out of the Round Four Rugby Championship clash at the Wellington Regional Stadium on Saturday.
Reece will make his debut for Southland in the NPC, whilst Fainga’anuku rejoined Tasman following his return to New Zealand from Top 14 outfit Toulon. Darry will represent Canterbury.
The Crusaders outside backs duo didn’t feature in the 24-17 win over the world champions at Eden Park; however, Reece started against Argentina in the All Blacks’ 23-29 loss in Buenos Aires.
Following his debut last season, Darry has yet to feature in a black jersey this year.
Which finishers will Razor select?
Following the injury to Emoni Narawa in the Eden Park clash, Robertson might retain Rieko Ioane on the left wing and opt to select Caleb Clarke on the opposite wing with Will Jordan at fullback.
Another surprise could see Hurricanes star Ruben Love named at No.15, flanked by Jordan and Ioane to form a new-look back three combination.
Robertson will name his side on Thursday, 12.15 local time (Thursday 02.15 SA time)
