Taranaki player in the dock

Three players will be involved in judicial hearings on Wednesday, following NPC and Heartland Championship matches in New Zealand at the weekend.

Taranaki's Timo Tufavaha was cited in the game against Tasman on Sunday, for allegedly striking a Tasman player 20 minutes into the second half.

Tasman won 27-20.

* Meanwhile East Coast's Ngarimu Simpkins was ordered off in the game against Wairarapa Bush on Saturday after receiving two yellow cards.

The first followed a team warning for slowing the ball down, the second for punching a player four minutes from full-time.

Wairarapa Bush won 44-31.

* East Coast's Te Rangi Fraser was ordered off in the same game after an alleged lifting tackle 15 minutes into the second half.

All three hearings will take place on Wednesday, October 9, via video-conference with Nigel Hampton.
