Tasman hooker Quentin MacDonald has been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle on Northland flyhalf Dan Hawkins.

The incident occurred in their Week Seven NPC match, won 28-13 by Tasman in Whangarei on Thursday.

MacDonald will front a judicial hearing by video conference, to look at the alleged breach of law 10.4 (e) – which happened seven minutes from full-time.

Judicial Officer Roger Drummond will hear the case on Friday.
