Alarm bells for Wales as Tandy brings in duo ahead of Bok clash
SQUAD UPDATE: Wales head coach Steve Tandy has called up two players ahead of his side’s Nations Championship Round Three clash against the Springboks at Kings Park on Saturday.
There are growing concerns over captain Dewi Lake, who is expected to miss the clash.
Elliot Dee has now joined the Wales camp in Durban to provide cover at hooker.
Lake is struggling with a groin injury that he suffered in a 21-35 defeat to Argentina in San Juan.
If he is unable to play, then Ryan Elias will likely start at hooker and Jac Morgan is expected to take over the captaincy.
Meanwhile, Tandy has also called up lock Freddie Thomas.
The 24-year-old will add some versatility to the forward stocks due to his ability to provide loose forward cover as well.
