Bok legend unveiled as Bulls Daisies head coach
NEWS: The Bulls Daisies confirmed the appointment of a former Springbok Women stalwart as the Bulls Daisies head coach.
Zenay Jordaan was unveiled as the team’s new head coach on Monday in a deal that will run until 2029.
Jordaan, a pioneer of the women’s game in South Africa, steps into the role with a pedigree that few can match.
Her transition from a storied playing career to the coaching ranks has been seamless, underpinned by an elite technical foundation.
She remains one of only two women’s coaches in South African rugby to hold a World Rugby Level Three qualification, a testament to her dedication to the craft.
On the field, Jordaan earned 36 Test caps for the Springbok women, becoming a cornerstone of the national side before moving into coaching.

Her tenure within the Bulls Daisies structures is already well established, having served two successful seasons as an assistant and co-head coach, helping shape the squad into the powerhouse franchise they are today.
“I’m still trying to absorb everything, but I’m very excited,” said Jordaan.
“My expectations are to align better with management, put proper cultural structures in place and establish a clear identity.
“A winning culture has already been created. I want to improve our planning and take it up a notch.”
As head coach, Jordaan will serve as a generalist lead, coordinating all phases of the game plan, training methodologies, and overarching strategies.
Her mandate is clear: to establish and maintain world-class rugby standards while fostering an expansive, enjoyable style of play that allows talent at all levels to thrive.
Thando Manana, BBCo Executive for Strategic Projects and Women’s Rugby, believes Jordaan is the perfect architect for the next chapter of the Bulls Daisies’ journey.
“Zenay is not just a coach; she is a trailblazer who carries the DNA of South African women’s rugby,” Manana said.
“Her appointment is a massive statement of intent for this franchise.
“We aren’t just looking for results on the scoreboard; we are building a world-class high-performance culture.
“With Zenay’s elite experience and her Level Three expertise, we have the right leader to ensure the Bulls Daisies remain the gold standard for women’s rugby in Africa.”
Jordaan’s influence extends beyond the professional franchise, having been heavily involved across all BBRU levels of the women’s programme, as well as contributing her expertise to the Junior Springboks and the senior national squad.
