Hendricks, 37, made the first of his 12 Test appearances against Wales, in Durban, in June 2014.

Earlier that month, he appeared in a non-cap international against a World XV at Newlands.

Hendricks also won Commonwealth Gold with the Springbok Sevens outfit in 2014, breaking New Zealand’s dominance at the showpiece.

Hendricks represented Boland Cavaliers, the Cheetahs and Bulls domestically.
