BOKS OFFICE: The All-time Bok XV

WATCH as the Boks Office crew selects an all-time Springbok XV.

Host Hanyani Shimange, with guests Jean de Villiers and Schalk Burger, opted to play selectors in the latest edition of the popular podcast series of RugbyPassTV.

They discussed all matters related to the game, including the Champions Cup Final and looked forward to the Rugby Championship play-offs.

However, it is their coup de grâce that will cause the biggest stir.

Burger, capped 86 times by his country, made it clear he is not a ‘fan’ of selecting all-time teams, because you can’t compare eras.

De Villiers, a former Bok captain and capped 109 times, agree with his former teammate and suggested the current generation is the best because of their professionalism and how the game has evolved.

“I can only select a team from players who are relevant to people who I played with and, thereafter, who I crossed paths with,” Burger said.

They eventually did get into selecting the team and produced some interesting selections.
