Boks' tour bus crashes in Eastern Cape

NEWS: Springboks’ open-top tour bus has been involved in an accident.

According to various local South African news outlets, the accident occurred when the bus, still branded in Springbok colours, was en route from East London to Johannesburg on Monday.

It has been reported that the bus’ brakes failed and went off the road and crashed into the security gate of a house in Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape on Monday night.

The bus was not carrying passengers and has since been moved from the scene.

Dispatch reported that the Eastern Cape transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, confirmed the accident.
