HUGE BLOW: Bok giant likely to miss rest of season

UPDATE: One of the Springboks’ stalwarts is set to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Ahead of Leinster’s clash against the Scarlets in the United Rugby Championship on Friday, head coach Leo Cullen gave an update on RG Snyman, and it doesn’t look good.

The 31-year-old lock suffered an injury to his right knee in a collision in last weekend’s defeat to Glasgow Warriors.

“He will be out for a while,” Cullen told Irish media.

“I will probably get a full report out next week.

“Unfortunately, he is going to miss a while.

“It is different from his other leg [ACL, left knee] that he would have injured previously. He could be out for a while.”

When asked if he would be surprised to see the Bok bruiser on the playing field again this season, Cullen said: “Yeah.”
