Naas and Nick are back
NEWS: Naas Botha will return to the SuperSport studio for the first time since the Ashwin Willemse incident on May 19.
The former Springboks flyhalf will return this weekend, while his colleague Nick Mallett is expected to make his return next weekend.
The duo have not been in the studio since the infamous incident which saw Springbok wing Ashwin Willemse walk off set during a live broadcast back on May 19.
During the live broadcast, Willemse pointed out that he had been “undermined” and “patronised” by Botha and Mallett.
However, an initial inquiry into Willemse’s walkout stated that there was ‘no racism’ on the part of fellow presenters Nick Mallet and Naas Botha – ‘naked racism, subtle racism or otherwise’.

Since then Willemse, who refused to participate in the review by Advocate Vincent Maleka because it was ‘not the right forum to air his view’, decided to go to the Equality Court – where he is planning to go head-to-head with SuperSport.
It is still unknown when Willemse will return to the studio.
