Rassie reveals Tony Brown's All Black decision
SOCIAL SPOTLIGHT: Springbok head coach Rassie Erasmus posted a cheeky picture on social media refuting any speculation of losing one of his assistant coaches.
The bombshell broke on Wednesday when the All Blacks announced that they’ve parted ways with Scott Robertson following a season review.
New Zealand Rugby chairman David Kirk stated that the governing body will immediately start the process of searching for a new head coach for the All Blacks.
This sparked plenty of debate amongst the rugby public who could be in line to succeed Robertson, with names such as Joe Schmidt, Dave Rennie and Wayne Smith surfacing as possible replacements.
Another name that came up was Jamie Joseph.
Joseph and Bok attack coach Tony Brown walked a lengthy path together, having coached Japan, the Sunwolves and winning a Super Rugby title with the Highlanders in 2015.
This sparked fears among South African supporters that Brown could turn his back on the Boks should Joseph get the All Blacks job, which isn’t far-fetched considering the duo’s history together.
However, Erasmus took to social media platform X to put Bok fans at ease with a picture of Brown captioned “I’m not leaving”.

Is this panic stations from Erasmus, or a confirmation that Brown is locked in until the end of his contract?
