Bok star Sacha wins top players' award after brilliant year
NEWS: Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has been rewarded for his brilliant performances in 2025.
The 23-year-old received the SA Players’ Player of the Year Award on Thursday.
The honour is voted for exclusively by professional rugby players across South Africa, and it was officially handed to the playmaker by MyPlayers.
Feinberg-Mngomezulu has been the star of the show for the Boks on several occasions this year, with his performance in the crushing 67-30 win over Argentina in Durban being a real standout.
His tally of 37 broke the record for most points for South Africa in a Test, held by Percy Montgomery with 35 points against Namibia since 2007.
“There are a lot of awards to win these days, but this one is especially close to my heart because it’s voted for by my colleagues, the people whose respect matters most,” said Feinberg-Mngomezulu.
“That’s why I probably enjoy this one more than any other.
“It’s a great feeling to be recognised by others in the same industry who truly understand what it takes.”
The other nominees for the award included Ox Nche, Malcolm Marx, Pieter-Steph du Toit, and Damian Willemse.
