Springboks receive brutal update on RG Snyman's injury
NEWS: There will be some bad news filtering through to the Springbok coaching team.
On Tuesday, the Leinster camp confirmed that RG Snyman ruptured his ACL in his right knee and will be unavailable for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury in Leinster’s 17-38 defeat to the Glasgow Warriors on March 21.
The recovery time could be anywhere from six to 12 months.
It’s a massive setback for Snyman, who has suffered a couple of ruptured ACLs in the past. Although the previous two were on his left knee.
Snyman will miss the Springboks’ Nations Championship Tests against England, Wales and Italy in July.
He will also be unavailable for Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Series against the All Blacks between August and September.
