South Africa and Stormers star Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has provided an encouraging update following the ankle injury he sustained during the Stormers’ United Rugby Championship quarterfinal victory over Cardiff.
The 24-year-old playmaker took to social media on Thursday to share several photographs, including one from the hospital.
In the post, Feinberg-Mngomezulu has revealed that he had undergone successful surgery and was also pictured wearing a medical boot.

The talented flyhalf suffered the injury while scoring a try during the Stormers’ 44-21 victory over Cardiff at DHL Stadium at the end of May.
As a result, he was ruled out of the Cape side’s URC semifinal clash against Leinster, which ended in defeat for John Dobson’s men.
The latest setback comes at an unfortunate time for Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who had finally managed to put together an extended run of fitness after battling several injury problems earlier in his career.
His impressive performances for both the Stormers and the Springboks over the past season have seen him establish himself as one of the most exciting playmakers in world rugby.
While no official timeline has been confirmed for his return, the injury could keep him sidelined for several months, ruling him out of the start of the Nations Championship and potentially placing his involvement in South Africa’s Rugby Championship fixtures against New Zealand later this year in doubt.
For now, both the Stormers and Springbok supporters will be hoping the gifted playmaker makes a full recovery and returns to action as soon as possible.
