The state of WSL after Round Four
The 2026 Women’s Super League has reached the halfway mark, and after four rounds, there have been commanding team performances and standout individual displays.
The Bulls Daisies remain firmly on top of the WSL table after maintaining a perfect record with four wins. Their flawless run has taken them to 20 points, with Western Province in second place on 16.
The two sides met at the weekend at Rosina Paarwater Stadium in Bellville, where the Pretoria outfit emerged victorious. Although the hosts started strongly, the Bulls Daisies produced a dominant second-half display, scoring 24 unanswered points to secure a convincing 50-22 victory.
Boland Dames sit third on the table. After suffering a defeat to the Bulls Daisies in Round Three, they bounced back impressively against Eastern Province Queens in Round Four.
Springbok No. 8 and SA Rugby Women’s Player of the Year nominee Aseza Hele and Tereske Kabuika both scored hat-tricks, while Eloise Webb also crossed the whitewash in the win.
The Golden Lions have been a breath of fresh air over the past two rounds. They recorded their first victory of the season with a 48-32 win over the Cheetahs Queens before following it up with a 32-7 triumph against Border Ladies at Alberton Rugby Club.
The Lions’ pack laid a strong platform against the Cheetahs, securing quality possession that scrumhalf Rumandi Potgieter used effectively, drawing on her international experience to steer the attack.
