Tony Brown's 'magic potion' for out of sorts Sacha
SPOTLIGHT: As the aphorism says: ‘Form is temporary, class is permanent.’
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, a generational talent, is going through a serious slump in form.
The 24-year-old, 19-times capped Springbok has been unable to resuscitate a Stormers team on a three-match losing streak.
Back-to-back losses to the Sharks were followed by a humbling 10-24 loss to a Lions team that played a substantial portion of the second half with just 13 men at Ellis Park.
After an eight-match winning start that saw them top the URC standings, they have already slipped down to fifth and head to Loftus Versfeld for a big north-south derby with the high-flying Bulls.
The Stormers and Feinberg-Mngomezulu have been a pale shadow of their early-season form.
Former All Black and Springbok assistant coach Tony Brown has a remedy he believes could put the No.10 back on track.
“I’ll give him a cuddle, he’ll be okay,” Brown quipped at the media briefing at the national team’s headquarters at Plattekloof in Cape Town.

Brown, signed with the Boks till after the 2027 World Cup in Australia, said the Boks will not be affected by the flyhalf’s form slump.
“In the Springbok environment, the way we train, the way we play, the way we use every player to do his job, he fits in and it is easy for him,” the Kiwi said with a more serious tone.
“The Stormers are in a bit of a slump, and he is trying to do too much by himself.”
Brown said Feinberg-Mngomezulu must use the players around him more and not always try to take everyone on by himself.
The Bok assistant added that the Springboks have players as skilful as anyone he has ever coached.
“It is about bringing those skills out, doing it as a team and not as individuals.”
