Top 100 Men's Players: Bok duo joins Barrett in second batch
SPOTLIGHT: RugbyPass released the second group of their Top 100 men’s players in 2025, and like the first grouping, it also features two Springboks.
Wing Kurt-Lee Arendse and scrumhalf Cobus Reinach have fallen into the group ranked 80-61.
All Blacks utility back Beauden Barrett and England utility back Marcus Smith also made this list.
Arendse is ranked No.71. He featured in six of the Boks’ 15 games after injuries limited his involvement in 2025.
He still managed to score five tries and made 11 line-breaks in just 428 minutes of Test rugby this year.
His average of 2.1 line-breaks per 80 minutes was the best rate of any Tier One player (min. 320 minutes).
Reinach is ranked No.66. At 35, the scrumhalf isn’t showing signs of age. He scored five Test tries in 2025 and formed a potent halfback partnership with Stormers teammate Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu – 12 years his junior.
He also celebrated his 50th Test cap for the Springboks in the Nations Series in November.
Meanwhile, Barrett is ranked No.77. He made 15 line-breaks for the All Blacks this year, more than any other Tier One player.
Smith comes in at No.69. The back experienced a frustrating personal year with the national team; however, he still managed to play a vital role for England.
His early introduction off the bench against New Zealand at fullback in November benefited England with the introduction of another playmaker.
