VIDEO: Wales sweating over captain's fitness
INJURY UPDATE: Wales are sweating over the fitness of captain Dan Biggar ahead of their series-deciding third Test against South Africa in Cape Town on Saturday.
Biggar, 32, injured his shoulder in the last-gasp 13-12 win over the Springboks in Bloemfontein last Saturday – a result that tied the series up at one-all.
Defence coach Gethin Jenkins told a media briefing at the team’s hotel in Cape Town on Tuesday that they will make a call on the veteran flyhalf “later in the week”.
Biggar was replaced in the 51st minute of last week’s Bloemfontein encounter, with his replacement, Gareth Anscombe, slotting the match-winning conversion in the 79th minute.
Anscombe is most likely to start if Biggar, with over 100 Test caps, fails his fitness test.
However, Jenkins appeared more confident about the availability of tighthead prop Dillon Lewis, who was replaced by Sam Wainwright in the 66th minute.
“He’s recovered well and hopefully he’ll train on Thursday and be back on the field on the weekend,” said Jenkins.
Wing Alex Cuthbert is already out of the tour.

The 32-year-old was forced off the field in the 17th minute of the second Test in Bloemfontein after he suffered a shoulder injury.
He was replaced by Josh Adams, who scored the crucial late try – which was converted by Anscombe to seal the win.
Jenkins was coy about the players’ involvement in training this week.
“I can’t confirm or deny,” the assistant coach said, with a grin, when asked if Lewis and Biggar had trained on Tuesday.
“I’m not commenting on who trained and who didn’t train.
“In the grand scheme of things, it’s not overly important.
“We knew that on a Monday and Tuesday we’d be pretty banged up, that’s just the nature of the games we’re facing.
“When you play other teams, [as opposed to South Africa], maybe not as much.
“However, that’s the nature of the physical battle we’re facing.
“We know we might not be able to cover as much as we might do on a Monday or Tuesday.
“We might be a couple of names short, not that I will give you those names.”
