Welsh prop cited for headbutt

Welsh prop Samson Lee has been citedfor an alleged headbutt on Springbok lock Flip van der Merwe in Nelspruit on Saturday.

Citing Commissioner James Absaloms from Kenya cited the Welsh player under law 10.4 (a) – striking or punching an opponent – after he allegedly struck Van der Merwe, with the head in the 15th minute of the second half of the match.

The hearing will take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday evening. The Judicial Officer is Christopher Quinlan.
