Spain starts with a top clash

The new season is Spain kicks off on Sunday with a clash between two cup winners for a third cup.

The winners of the División de Honor, Cetransa El Salvador, play the winner of the Copa SM El Rey, VRAC Quesos Entrepinares, at Campos del Pepe Rojo, kick-off 12.30. At stake will be Supercopa.

This is a new competition in Spain and the first combatants are Valledolid clubs, which adds the spice of a derby to the occaion.

El Salvado have severalk changes from their set-up last season in an effort to bolster their chances in the three competitions which involve them – the División of Honor, the AMLIN Challenge Cup and Copa SM El Rey.

Apart Spanish new faces in Jaime Nava and José Maria Revilla, there are foreign impirts in Argentinian flyhalf  Gastón Graco, fullback Ian Davey from bath, Samoan wing  Esera Lauina and two new forards NZ loose forward  Kieran Williams and Argentinian prop Juan Manuel Murré.
