Springbok 2025 home fixtures confirmed
NEWS: The Springboks will welcome Italy, Georgia, Australia and Argentina in 2025, SA Rugby confirmed on Wednesday.
While the Incoming Series and home leg of the Rugby Championship dates are confirmed, the venues and kick-off times will only be confirmed by SA Rugby at a later stage.
Italy will return to South African soil for the first time since 2013 when they will face the Springboks on July 5 and July 12 respectively.
Their first visit to South Africa came in 1999, but have only played seven Tests in the Republic before.
The Springboks will then face Georgia a week later on home soil for the second time, in line with World Rugby’s plans to expose emerging nations to top tier opposition.
The Lelos played one Test against the Boks in Pretoria back in 2021 in a warm-up clash of the global pandemic impacted tour of the B&I Lions.
The Boks will start their Rugby Championship defence against Australia, who host the British and Irish Lions in July, on consecutive weekends on August 16 and August 23 respectively.

Away Tests against the All Blacks in New Zealand follow on September 6 and September 13 before the Boks wrap up their Rugby Championship campaign at home on September 27 and away on October 4 against Argentina.
Details of the venues for the New Zealand Tests, the away fixture against Argentina and the November tour to Europe will be announced in due course.
