Wales duo set for Gloucester switch
NEWS: Wales captain Jac Morgan and hooker Dewi Lake will both join Gloucester at the end of the season, departing the Ospreys in a major double coup for the Premiership club.
Morgan, 25, was out of contract in Swansea and had been widely expected to move on. He has been with the Ospreys since 2021 after leaving the Scarlets and has established himself as one of Wales’ leading forwards, winning 24 caps and scoring seven tries.
A British & Irish Lions tourist last summer, he featured in the second and third Tests and crossed in the final match in Sydney.
Lake, 26, also leaves his boyhood club, having made 71 appearances for the Ospreys and earned 22 Wales caps. His arrival further strengthens Gloucester’s pack, which already includes Wales internationals Tomos Williams and Max Llewellyn.
Morgan said he was excited by the challenge of joining Gloucester and playing in the Gallagher Premiership, while director of rugby George Skivington hailed Morgan as a “world-class” signing and described Lake as the “epitome of a modern-day hooker,” praising his set-piece strength and work rate around the park.
