Sharks coach John Plumtree believes New Zealand need the Super Rugby Final more than South Africa.

The Kiwi coach has seen his team beat the Reds and Stormers away on consecutive weekends and now faces the prospect of preparing for a final against the Chiefs in Hamilton, but despite that challenge he believes that New Zealand need the financial boost that final will bring more than South Africa.

Commenting on the match after his side's victory over the Stormers at Newlands Plumtree said that although it would be a massive challenge for his side he was hopeful that the final could at least deliver some welcome financial relief in New Zealand.

"They are a pretty good side, they are pretty complete and they will be pretty excited about having a home final, financially anyway, but it is good they need the money New Zealand, more than here," he said.
