Namibia win Triangular
In Windhoek on Saturday evening Namibia beat Kenya 55-33 to win the Triangular series that also =featured Zimbabwe
Namibia beat Zimbabwe in the opening match and then Kenya in the closing match. Zimbabwe beat Kenya in between those two so that Namibia end top, Zimbabwe second and Kenya bottom.
This is good for Namibia as these there teams plus Madagascar go into a tournament in Madagascar to decide participation in the 2015 World Cup in England. The winner of the tournament will go to the World Cup and the runner-up will go into répechage.
In Saturday's match Kenya, coached by Jerome Paarwater of Western Province, led 25-15 at half-time. Namibia won the second half 40-8. Namibia scored eight to four, each side awarded a penalty try.
With the score at 3-all, Kenya were awarded a penalty try and then a second try to lead 15-3. Then the Namibian pick mauled over for a try credited to Rohan Kitshoff, who played for Western Province in the Currie Cup this year.
The Biltongboere ran the second half and led 55-28 before a try by Charles Owino brought an end to an attractive, fluid match..
