6N, Week 1 - Stats

The 2007 Six Nations burst into full flower at the Millennium Stadium with a great contest between Wales and Ireland. In this section, as in the past, we give some match statistics.

We shall be doing several bits on the Laws this week for both Six Nations and Super 14. We started with a discussion of Jonny Wilkinson’s try. We shall look at other incidents and try an appraisal of the new procedure of scrum engagement.

We also have a fascinating touch incident from a Super 14 match in Durban to talk about.

There is a lot coming.

Soundsure are, as always, a tremendous help in compiling the statistics.

Cards

There were no sanctionary cards. In fact there did not look like being one, unlike what happened in the Super 14 where there was a yellow rash.
