What a great Final in Durban on Saturday when the Sharks beat the Blue Bulls 14-9, two tries to nil! It was a match of high intensity.

There was none, though Bismarck du Plessis may well have been lucky not to have received one for stamping on the lower leg of Deon Stegmann and perhaps even luckier not to have been cited. There were also moments of childish petulance between the two hookers, Bismarck du Plessis and Derick Kuün, but nothing beyond silliness. At one stage Kuün had Du Plessis’s shorts down and Du Plessis had Kuün’s jersey over his head..
