Stats from two finals

We have had in successive weeks two massive finals – the Currie Cup Final in Bloemfontein and the Air New Zealand Cup Final in Hamilton – both grand occasions with packed stadiums, and cheerful, colourful spectators in festive mood.

Both the finals were refereed well and there were no major controversies after either, but we will have a thing or two to discuss later.

The matches were played in different conditions. The Currie Cup Final was played in great heat in the afternoon, the Air New Zealand Cup Final in the cool of the late evening. Neither match was wind-affected.
