Referees for Europe's semis

The European Rugby Cup, the body which organises the Heineken Cup and the Amlin Challenge Cup, has announced the four referees for the 2010 semifinals in each competition.
 
Dave Pearson (England) and Nigel Owens (Wales) have been appointed as the referees for the Heineken Cup semifinals on the weekend of 1-2 May.

Owens referee the semifinal between Toulouse and Leinster at Le Stadium in Toulouse on Saturday afternoon, 1 May. Pearson will referee the semifinal between  Biarritz and Munster at Estadio Anoeta in San Sebastian across the border in Spain on Sunday afternoon, 2 May.

Pearson and Owens both refereed quarterfinals this year. Pearson was involved in Leinster’s quarterfinal, Owens in Munster’s.

Wayne Barnes (England) will referee the Amlin Challenge Cup semifinal between Connacht and Toulon at the Sportsground in Galway on Friday evening, 30 April. Romain Poite (France) will referee the match between London Wasps and Cardiff Blues at Adams Park in High Wycombe on Saturday evening, 1 May.
