Referees to 2 June 2013
The massive match this weekend is a club match – the Final of the Top 14 between Toulon and Castres at a packed Stade de France with Jérôme Garcès to referee it.
The championship dates back to 1892 when the first referee was the famous Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games. With so much enthusiasm and tradition, it is a special match. Garcès refereed last year's Final as well.
The club matches may have shrunk but matches – and referees – have a decidedly international flavour this week on all continents.
