Referees to January 5
A Happy New Year to all match officials – referees and all others who help to make matches run well.. The hope always is that the new year will be better and so there is the hope that in 2014 not one referee will make a mistake, not one coach will grumble and not one player will shake his head in disagreement. And then there is the hope that all those around the match officials, family, friends and work contacts, will be proud of him and approving of his service to the game.
Now that is a consummation devoutly to be wished.
There are not many matches at this time of festivity but think how fortunate all the appointed men are – preserved from temptation!
